From the moment she began her rock ‘n’ roll journey Jennifer Benson connected to the edgy side of the genre. She then found herself writing lyrics so personal it acted as therapy. Her path was set and the result is the Chicago based hard rock band Ignescent. Still holding true to her beginnings the band keeps its purpose intact with songs about depression, anxiety and a message to those listening “You are not alone”! Jennifer joins The Hook Rocks New Music Spotlight to talk the band, her journey, and what’s next for Ignescent.
